Broken Trust - How to Stop A Divorce and Mend My Broken Heart

Knowing how to stop a divorce and mend my broken heart has many different answers for which many want to know. Not all of them may apply. Divorces happen for many different reasons. One of the most common has to do with broken trust.

If your unfaithfulness has caused this situation with your spouse, there are things you should and shouldn’t do to help. If there is something that you did that is the problem, don't tell them that you can change or try to talk them into believing it; just make the change. To show that you are serious about stopping a divorce, start by accepting the responsibility.

Your conduct speaks louder than words. If it is something that is a matter of trust that you have hurt, don't do it again. What’s more, any questions as to your faithfulness should not be given to your spouse. You need to prove you are worthy of trust once more, if you want them to love and trust you again. The old saying “time heals all wounds” is true but if you have hurt them to deeply this might not be possible.

The truth is you don’t deserve to be trusted if it is trust that you have broken. The endeavours to being faithful will promise them that you are changing. Don’t deny or try to justify your betrayal of their trust. Just because they do not trust you, don’t get mad or argue about it. Accept and take responsibility if you messed up.

There may be situations where the one you love has been guilty of breaking trust and has been guilty of infidelity. Consider how they would appreciate you giving them another chance. It very well may be that you deserve one as well because they feel you would give them one. Put yourself in their shoes and treat them the way you would want to be treated. Try to comprehend as to why this happened. Perhaps this could be resolved. Lots of times though, it cannot be.

Ask how to stop a divorce by going to friends who have been in your shoes and been through a divorce or from other sources where they have been trained in how to deal with these situations. If your relationship is at all important, it is strongly advised you seek help before the only option available is breaking up. Try to find the best relationship advice you can.

Because of what you two are going through, prepare for feelings of depression. To help you cope and understand what is happening, you may need some kind of therapy as this isn’t easy to deal with. Love relationships can be great but when there is broken trust involved, they can also bring a great deal of stress. Ask for as much help as quickly as you can if you intend to prevent a divorce and mend your broken heart. This situation is not something you have to do alone.
