How To Do Emotional Healing
I would say emotional healing is getting back to your natural way of feeling. It's a matter of returning to your natural state, which involves feeling all of your feelings as soon as they come up. And once you've felt them, they'll automatically be processed by your heart, and then they will release all by themselves. You don't have to do anything else but feel them in your heart!
It's my opinion we've been built to function as a beautiful fountain, or some other sort of open channel But rather than flowing water like a fountain does, instead we are flowing emotion - thoughts and feelings - right through us.
Or I want to point out, that's what we have been intended to do; that's what we're born to do.
But the system becomes tainted once we get into this world. Because we're trained from a very young age that emotions are bad and wrong and you are not supposed to even have them. And if you must feel them, go off in private somewhere and once you're over it, then you can come back to be around all the other sane, rational, ordinary people.
Emotions are an embarrassment, and you need to suppress them or repress them, or depress them - just so you manage them. You better control your emotions! When it comes to dealing with your emotions, that seems to be everybody's solution.
Too bad it's the complete opposite of what you should be doing.
Trust me, the last thing in the world you want to be doing is managing your emotions. You don't want to control them. You don't want to stuff them down. Rather, you want to feel them. Or at least, your heart wants to feel them. And you're in for a world of pain when you deny your heart. It might not be today, but it's coming. You can count on that.
The solution is to open up your heart full and wide and let it all in. Feel everything. Which is the way you grow to be powerful. That is how you become more alive. That's the way you live a life worth living and create the life you want. Getting back to that state, is what good emotional health is all about. Function as if you were an open fountain.
Please understand, this doesn't involve acting like your heart is on your sleeve so you go around getting your feelings hurt every day. It doesn't mean you fly into a rage when someone does something you don't like. And it doesn't mean you're going to be stuck in darkness and despair.
Please! Instead, it means you're going to be the most alive person you can possibly imagine. It means you don't have to be afraid of your feelings. It means you feel more powerful than you've ever felt in your life.
It's indescribable. It's like the best thing you could possibly imagine, multiplied by ten. It could be described as heaven on earth. That's the promise of emotional healing.
That's what can happen, when you simply choose to feel all your feelings. When you stop fighting and just surrender and let your heart do its job. When you allow all your emotions to enter into your heart.
You have what I call an emotional wellspring bubbling up inside you all the time, and when you tap into its flow, you can be and have and do whatever you want.
To me, emotional healing involves the choices you make, the steps you take, to open your heart full and wide and simply feel all your feelings that come up. Then they can just flow right through you. Basically, emotional healing involves doing what it takes to tear down the walls you've put up around your heart. Walls that restrict or even keep out the flow of our raw material of life. Which is the flow of emotion..
Because that's what emotion is - raw material that we use to create the world around us. It's almost like we need a new label for it, because calling it emotion really limits it so much. This flow of raw material really stands as so much more that what we think it is. It really is life itself.
