Surround yourself with stuffs that thrill you. If you are a woman, surround yourself with beautiful things such as flowers or plants, lovely furnishings or office table fillers, funny snapshots, uplifting quotes, etc.. If you are a man, you can find action toy figures, family photograph, automobile posters or images of gadgets exciting.
Regardless of what it is that sparkles a ray of smile in your heart, if it's an item you have or don't have functional use of, put it where you usually are. These things shall remind you of your aspirations and encounters and stir in you a feeling of enjoyment that can only be found in simple objects. Surrender yourself every now and then. Do crazy things every now and then and make yourself as wacky as you can. Well, it's basically an exercise where you let your thoughts and emotions out by talking. You may have a mirror if you are more visual but often times just focusing on yourself talking will be sufficient. Talk as if you are the single person alive. It's great for the soul and spirit, but never attempt doing it out in public or others may think you're crazy.
Make other people happy. You can begin by accomplishing kind things for other people or saying some truly stimulating or uplifting. You could be surprised but this is a single great method on how to treat depression. You could show up and show your concern if a friend is undergoing a life-changing incident in her life or a dilemma. Or you can literally say a joke or witty remark over lunch time or during a dull meeting. Whatever might make a person happy, do it as long as you are able. The more happiness you offer, the more you receive.
