What You Need To Know About A Cleansing System
The Master Cleanse or Lemon Detox Diet, Fat Flush, 21 Pounds in 21 Days, the Liver Detox Diet; these are just a few of the so-called detox diets that have become all the rage and have holistic healers and diet gurus pushing all sorts of products and regimens that are supposed to help purge our bodies of chemicals and toxins, while helping us to lose weight fast.
But do you really need to rid your body of dietary poisons? Will it really make all of your organs work better? And should you try one of these plans for weight loss and optimal body performance?
According to doctors the answer is a resounding no because although a day on a detox diet program probably won't hurt you, there is little point in following these restrictive diets, and they can do far more harm than good. Many of these radical programs do not work as well as advertised and can cause more harm than good. Most of the people who follow these radical programs only lose a little weight in their wallet since once they try one of these programs.
Many people wonder what a detox diet plan is. Most detox diets promote herbs, pills, potions, colonics, and fasts to rid the body of impurities and they also promise a quick way to lose fat naturally, but the truth is that you will shed unwanted pounds, but it is not because of any medical magic, it is because these plans are super-low in calories.
There is a loss of weight that occurs when a person follow one of these programs, but there is also a lack of nutrition that comes with it. Detox diets tend to be extremely restrictive, allowing only unprocessed plant foods. By skipping the processed foods a person will allow their organs to function more efficiently and to clean out the toxins naturally.
Many of the detox program have mixes that are drunk along with an enormous amount of water on a daily basis. If a person listens to what is called for in a few of the plans they will follow a liquid diet for as long as two weeks at a time. In order to follow many of these programs a person will have to abstain from things with caffeine, pre package or food that is not natural to be effective. There are plenty of people who follow a organic diet on a regular basis, the cleansing systems are much more radical.
The limited variety of foods and beverages and minimum calories is of concern to your health. It can be impossible for a person to obtain the daily recommended amount of vitamins or minerals that they require with some of the detox plans. Although there are some religions that have their followers fast in a way similar to these programs, there are not many other reasons for a person to star one.
There are many potential dangers to these types of diets. There is a lot of evidence that says that they do not have to be done. There is also evidence that they can damage a variety of our body’s systems. No one is sure whether they will actually help. There is a lot of research that has shown you can make smaller changes that will have identical benefits that these cleansing programs claim to do. The best way to remain fit and trim is through proper diet and exercise. Get rid of the bad habits that can overload your body with what it does not need. This will lower the amount of toxins that ever enter the body.
Our bodies are designed to remove unwanted substances from within. It is hard to not do this. Unless a person is making the wrong choices continually, the body will be able to keep up with removing these toxins. Because of this there is no need for most of us to go through what is often a grueling process. Instead of following a one week detox plan, change your life to include more good habits than bad and detox your systems everyday. That can save you a lot of time and wasted money that would be used on a detox program.
