Writing an Obituary

Paying homage to a deceased person’s life, obituaries are published like a mini biography of their life time. They're also a way in which to notify individuals of somebodies death. Both their birth date, age and date of death will be written along with other personal information like the deceased name, address and place of birth.

Obituaries a long time ago, were written quite differently. Instead of being written about a person’s character as they were years back, these days they are more to do with a person’s accomplishments throughout their life. Accomplishments at school, college or work will be written about along with information and facts on any kids they might have had.

In just a few days of someone’s death a local paper obituary will be written and published. Unfortunately in certain cases the writing of an obituary will be wrongly recognized for somebody else with the same name who could very well reside in the same area. This could sometimes be avoided by publishing more private information including their home address.
On the internet obituaries have become available and can be published within hours of a person’s passing away. They can also be custom-made so only specified individuals are able to access the details. The great thing about using on the web obituaries is you can add pics and vids of the departed which you can't obviously do with a paper publication.

If you are creating an obituary, whether for a close member of the family or friend there are also web sites available that can help. Templates can be made up which you simply fill out where applicable with all the appropriate details.
