You’ve got a nice home with some pretty Moroccan lighting in there. While it’s always simple to set the scene of your house to a more relaxed and romantic mode, dust and cob webs could also turn the atmosphere a bit creepy. Anyhow, if it’s time for some much-needed spring cleaning for your house lighting, here are some tips which will prove useful for you.
Switch Off The Power
Unless you would like to get zapped or electrocuted when attempting to clean your Moroccan lights, it is strongly recommendable to turn off the power to your lighting. If you’re going to take some time to wash up your house lighting, you might as well make note of what must be cleaned the day before. That way, you will at least have a concept on what are the items and cleaning supplies you’re going to need to get it all done properly . Of course when I say turn off the power, I mean to turn off the power supply to the lights you’re cleaning so that your whole room or house is not plunged into total darkness.
Cleaning The Exterior
Now Moroccan lighting are not only lovely, they can be quite complex depending on which type you have in your house. The more dear Moroccan chandeliers will take more effort to scrub as they have many pieces of intricate glass linked together. The easier and smaller Moroccan lamps will only take you a few minutes to wipe off any dust which has amassed on the exterior. If they are frankly plain dusty and you are pushed for time, just gently but conscientiously dust them off with a feather duster. Please cling to the lighting or lamp with one hand to steady it so it does not slip off and break into chunks when it hits the ground.
Making Sure The Interior Is Clean
Certain lamps or Moroccan lighting will need to have the interior section cleaned as this should be a pleasant place for bugs to call home. Your lighting should come with directions on the way to carefully take away the glass or metal covering to either replace the bulbs or clean the inside of the lamp. If there’s a lot of dust and dead bugs within, rigorously take away the covering and vacuum it clean. Wipe it with a clean dry cloth as you don’t want to get anything wet in case defined portions of the lighting starts to rust.
Outline
Depending on how much lighting you want to scrub, it is best to be careful when cleaning them as you don’t want to end up breaking or spoiling any of it. With planning and careful cleaning, this may ensure that your home lighting last for longer and look great.
